AFTER THAT

A short movie set on the Mississippi Gulf Coast

After That is about the emotional aftermath of devastating loss. Set on the post-Katrina Mississippi Gulf Coast, we follow two men who have lost what seems like everything. Their individual crises unfold over the community's struggles. The range of emotions is universal and runs from complete despair to liberation. This fast paced short movie gives us a glimpse of existing physical and emotional conditions found on today's Gulf Coast.

I have followed the devastation on the Gulf Coast of my home state learning about personal tragedy and triumph. It is this complexity of the human experience that motivates this screenplay.
